In a setback for cowboy justice, the NYT reports that the Texas Supreme Court "agreed Thursday that the state had illegally seized 468 girls and boys from a West Texas ranch last month on unproven grounds of physical and sexual abuse." The moral, of course, is that a mere accusation is not evidence.
This is one of those stories that reminds me just how much I miss Molly Ivins.
