In today's NYT, Tom Friedman concludes that the emerging world order, "... will be a world in which multilateral diplomacy and regulation will no longer be a choice. It will be a reality..."[1]

America's unilateral President becomes the president who presided over America becoming a country in which all things require consensus with the rest of the world.

The Bush Doctrine is dead. Long live the Bush Irony.
