John McCain, once thought of as a "green" candidate has solidified his position on energy. He has avoided voting on all eight attempts to pass wind and solar legislation, the equivalent of a no vote. His VP is focused on drilling in Alaska's wildlife refuge (ANWR) and on the coasts. She believes the jury is still out on global warming. John McCain is an oil man, rock solid. - Tom Friedman reports.
