The mountain, the molehill, and the electorate. First we have Barack Obama's implicit reference to his race. (The molehill.) Then we have John MCain's explicit remarks about the race card. (The mountain.) Followed by the press stories that have been going on for days. (The tidal wave of panderering.) If people weren't buying into this stuff, the whole thing would have been a non-starter. That's a sad commentary on the people who will elect the next president.
