A useful summary of the fallout from the Russia-Georgia war is here. Meanwhile, Putin charges - and Bush denies - US involvement in Georgia's folly. Given an unfolding understanding of the administration's neocon agenda, the charges are plausible. On the other hand, Russia's numerous false assertions seriously weaken her credibility. There is a paucity of evidence.

As the fallout pushes a half dozen former Russian satellites closer to the West, it seems clear that Russia has played into the neocon agenda. The question remains: What did we do to get the ball rolling?

John McCain's agressive support is documented in the WaPo here.
